Hey all beauty geeks!!! Don’t we all love when our search for perfect make up products makes us more intelligent? I had read about color wheel in school and had conveniently forgotten about it like a lot of other stuff. 😉 But my quest to cover my dark spots led to me to the re-discovery of the color wheel and I learned that salmony peach is the perfect color to correct any darkness on the face viz. dark spots, dark circles, darkness around chin, etc. However, I failed to the find the perfect color and at last picked up Kryolan Orange Corrector, which is too dry for my skin. I heard about Pixi Correction Concentrate on you tube and everybody had nice things to say about it.
So, I thought of giving it a try. Read further to know did it pass my litmus test. 🙂

My take on Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach:
Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach comes only in one shade. It is a universal color corrector for purple/blue darkness on the face. The corrector is more pink than a regular peach corrector. Most people use this product for under-eye circles. I picked it up mostly for my dark spots and any other dark areas on my face. It does not do much for my dark spots. Probably, it is only applicable for under-eye dark circles. It does cover the under-eye circles and add instant brightness to the eyes. But, somehow, it looks ashy on me. Something more peachy would have suited my skin tone.
Texture: The corrector has a very dense thick texture to start with. You need to warm it up with your fingers initially and then it becomes a little creamy. Blends easily. Best part is it does not emphasize the fine lines or pores. Has a satin finish to it when blended on the face.
Pigmentation: The corrector has a decent pigmentation which can be sheered down or built up as required.
Staying Power: Lasts an entire day on the under-eye area. I usually set it with a powder though.
Packaging: The corrector comes in a standard small glass pot with a green-colored cap. You need a brush or your fingers to take out the product.
What I love about Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach:
- Does an ok job in covering dark circles.
- Blends easily.
- Does not feel dry.
- Does not emphasize fine lines.
- Does not feel heavy or cakey.
- Decent coverage.
- Long staying power.
- Has an instant brightening effect.
- Does not give an orange cast to the face.
What I do not love about Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach:
- Not effective at hiding dark spots.
- Has more pink than peach.
- Not suitable for medium skin tones.
- Looks ashy on me.
- Unhygienic jar packaging.
- Less quantity compared to the price.
- Little expensive for a drugstore concealer.
- Unavailability in India but can be found on ebay.
Final Impression: The corrector is a much raved product. That is why I expected more from it. If you don’t have very dark under-eye circles or dark spots, you can use it for the brightening effect. It is more suitable for fair or pale skin tones.
