How was your weekend?After a long time I had a great one.Spend time with friends , played games such as pool , pictionary,table tennis , did make up, tried different recipes and crib to my husband about various pending thing at home and then again happily went to Shilparamam(Hyderabad Delhi’s heart) and bought some beautiful stuff for home.
I also did some stuff for you people will share it this week :).Yesterday I made this crispy potatoes recipe in ten minutes.My friends were coming home to pick us up so I thought of making this while getting ready.It is as easy my potato salad recipe provided you have sesame oil at home.I purchased sesame oil some three months back and have been researching on it uses and benefit .Will share my views soon.
Yes it is a fried potato recipe so don’t over go with this because once you make it it is too hard to resist it.By the way if you have been to Lajpat nagar of Delhi and had that Chinese chat and liked the potatoes in it then this one is especially for you.It taste almost like that only. 🙂
Here goes the crispy potatoes recipe:-
3 Large potatoes (You can cut them into wedges)
2 tomatoes finely chopped
2.5 tsp soya sauce
1 large onion chopped
2 green onion (Hara pyaar,You can use half chopped capsicum also in place of this)
1/2 tsp sugar(I used the white sugar)
1.5 tsp crush garlic(You can use the paste also)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
3tbsp sesame oil /til ka tel
Salt to taste
Step1-Take a pan and add oil in it.Shallow fry the potato wedges and fry until they turn golden brown in color.Take out all of them and drain them on a tissue paper or kitchen Napkin.
Step2-In the same remaining oil add onion and garlic and saute then for 3-4 minutes till they turn golden brown in color.
Step3-Add chilli powder and then tomatoes .Mash tomatoes till they turn soft.
Step4-Now add soya sauce and sugar in it and let them simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Step5-Add capsicum and chopped green onion and salt and saute it again for 2-3 minutes.
Step6-Pour this sauce on the fried potatoes and serve them hot.
P.S-This dish should be made immediately if you make it before hand then crispiness from the potatoes and can be loosend up
