Protein Hair Packs For Dull Hair

Protein for hair is very much important. Though hair is mostly made of protein, but an extra boost of protein will make it better. Protein smoothens the cuticle of the hair, creating smoother strands and stronger hair. It also makes hair strong and prevents breakages. So today we will be sharing 5 protein hair pack recipes  with you all.

Egg and Olive oil mask

  • 2 Eggs
  • Content of 2vitamin E capsules
  • 2tbsp. of almond oil or Extra virgin Olive oil

Blend all the ingredients together, apply on hair and keep for 20 minutes. Then use lukewarm water and a mild shampoo-conditioner to wash your hair and you are done. If you can keep this hair pack for one hour then it helps in strengthening the root of the hair but you will need to thoroughly wash your hair to clear the egg. Eggs are rich in protein as it helps in making the hair follicle stronger and one will suffer from less hair fall. Applying eggs also give fewer split ends .In addition to this when we apply raw eggs it makes our hair soft and smooth and add shine to them.

Almond oil and yogurt

Rich in protein, almonds are healthy for not only your heart, but also for your hair. You can apply sweet almond oil directly on your scalp. Just warm it for a few seconds before application and then use your fingers to apply on your scalp. Massage gently and let it penetrate in the roots. Keep it for a few hours and then wash with a mild shampoo. Almond oil is a popular treatment for dry and damaged hair as it is a good source of vitamin E .It brings shine to dull hair, make your hair stronger and control hair loss. You can make a pack by mixing sweet almond oil with yogurt and applying to hair and scalp.

Soya Juice and Banana

Proteins rich for hair growth are a must. Soybeans are used for smooth, soft, and shiny hair. Soya extracts have also been shown to reduce another disease-causing baldness, called alopecia areata. You can apply soy bean juice onto the hair regularly for three months to get the desired results.


You can also follow this Madhubani special hair pack. Soak soya beans in water for about an hour.  Put them in a blender and add a banana and 2 tsp of honey. Blend in really well. Make the paste as smooth as possible. Apply on hair from root to the ends. Leave it for an hour and wash off with lukewarm water or by placing your head under running water. Shampoo and condition afterwards.

Egg and Avocado



  • Avocado
  • Egg
  • Lemon juice
  • Almond oil
  • Peppermint essential oil

DIY avocado hair treatment

Take one whole avocado, remove the seed, peel the skin and puree it. Then add 2 spoons lemon juice, 1 spoon almond oil and finally 4-5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Mix all together nicely with water as required to get a semi paste like consistency. Apply all over hair and roots liberally and keep for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Then wash off with a mild shampoo. Avocado and almond oil help in repairing dry, damaged hair too.

Coconut Milk, Lemon Juice and Olive Oil Hair Mask


Coconut milk is rich in protein, very high in fats, making it great for moisturizing and strengthening. Lemon is great for scalp issues such as dandruff and itchiness. Olive oil has been reported to help with hair growth. So just milk all the ingredients well. Apply the mixture in sections and cover your hair including the scalp. Cover it with a plastic cap and keep the mixture for minimum of half an hour or  forty- five minutes. Rinse and shampoo as usual.

    I have a query though. In that DIY of soybeans, which variety has to be soaked overnight? The green ones or the yellow ones?
    And will it is difficult to remove it once it dries?
