Quick and easy Maggi vegetable noodle recipe with step by step pictures

This one is for Jamol.

Maggi has been my all time favorite.I remember eating it every day after coming from my exams.It was kind of a exam giving treat.Best part is it is loved by all age group and there are en number of ways of making it.My husband asked me to post some maggi recipes before as he really liked the way I try different recipes of Maggi but some how I never got motivated(Ghar ki murgi daal barabar:D)..But when Jamol asked me I was up and ready to make it.It always is pleasure for me if some one asked me to do things for them even if it is a simple post.
When i made this vegetable maggi I packed it up and took and it for my parents who are not that fond of maggi.They weren’t interested in eating it but I asked them to just taste it.After tasting they both finished it all and asked me to prepare it again in the evening:)
Let me now come to the recipe rather then going on with my useless talks.I always thought that vegetable maggi won’t taste good as all the vegteables will eat away the masala and maggi wont be spicier.But I was wrong .If you add few ingredients more the taste of masala remains intact and it gets spicier and tastier.

Here goes my recipe
Serves -3-4
Preparation-10 minutes
Cooking -15 minutes
Ingredients:-

2 pkg. Maggi noodles
1 small onion
Chopped vegetables such as cabbage,carrot,capsicum,peas in which cabbage quanity should be the maximum
1 chopped tomato
1tsp Soya sauce
Salt to taste
1 tsp Red chili powder
a pinch Turmeric
Chilli Flakes(optional)
1tbsp tsp oil

Method and preparation:-


Step1-Take a frying pan and add 1tbsp of oil in it.When oil gets hot add chopped onion and fry until golden brown..Then add tomatoes and fry it until the oil separates from the paste.

Step2-Now add chopped  vegteables(I used only beans and cabbage) in the pan and fry them for 6-7 minutes or until they are nicely cooked.

Step3-Add red chili powder, turmeric, maggi masala powder,soyasauce, chilli flakes and salt as per taste
Step4- Fry the masale for 1 minutes, add three cups of water to the pan and boil for 2 minutes, then add two packets of maggi noodles in water.

Step5-Add some water if required during cooking of noodles and cover the lid of the pan.
You can garnish with chopped coriander if you want .Serve hot and to make it heavenly serve with french fries.

  1. Wow, it all looks so yummy. I use the same recepie but only skip all the veggies except onion & tomatoes. I just get too impatient to wait 😀

  2. Yes i guess it will taste out the same if you use it without the vegetables but then it will become tomato onion maggi:D

  3. We make it the same way at our place… we just use black pepper(kali mirch) rather than red chilli..!!! I used to hate atta maggi it has this weird sweet taste in it.. but if you make it this way it tastes so so yummy..!!!! my mum cooks this for me almost once a week.. i so want to eat it noooww.. drrol drool!!!

  4. Hey Priyanka .Thanks for a lovely comment.You know even I was thinking of making it with aata maggi as I don like the taste of it in general.Soya sauce will make it tastier i guess.will surly try it out:)

    It used to be my staple dinner, lunch, snack or even bfast while was doing my studies
    so this post brings back all the good days of my campus life.
    I make it in a different way.
    myself being a vegeterian, I add lots of veggies except cabbage.
    add onions ginger garlic past tomatoes, paneer,green peas, cheese
    add a bit of crushed pepper a spoonful of butter
    lots of coriander leaves :X-P: 😛
    me want to eat now :eat:
    would definitel try adding soya sauce chilli powder turmeric too next time.
    am gonna make this tonight and enjoy my maggiee.
    hmmmmmmmmm am hungry now !!!

    • hehe Mitha…when u add soya sauce then the lost maggi masala taste because of adding vegetables comes back..do try and let me know how it turns out.

                    but somehow I ve never felt the need to look slim in my life .
                    bcoz I have tried the most difficult diet before
                    ha ha
                    and I cant control my daily dose of coffee and other food !!!
                    so me like the way I go !!!

                    • hehhehe good :D:D all my friends r skinny this makes me feel cautious otherwise i am not that fat. infact it is good to have golu molu frends na :D:D u wont feel guilty when i eat :D:D

      dieting is too hard and one needs a good willpower.
      I tried only once for two days
      lost my fat especially double chin and all :dance:

              Naa re..m not slim..far from it actually..maybe this pic luks flattering thats all..m not disproportionately fat..but m on the plumpy side..As A mentioned above, M a Mango!! 🙂 🙂

                • Hehe..oh! the GMs diet..thats fun..i did it 3-4 times..i lose weight but then it comes back..doesnt stick..but its gud for detox of the body..

                  me luv mangoes too..So does A…she’s a Mango lover!!

                  • Hihi..Its negative in a way..by the time ur done, u will have huge cravings for fried and yummy foods..Thats how i pile on the kgs after this diet..thats y i stopped it..now i just try t control my diet where i can..

                    But A doesn’t let me..with talks of mangoes and then Wiseshe in Cosmo…abhi after reading this, i HAD to celebrate na…to icecream kha lya..and then the celebration extended to the next day.. 😉 😉

                    • Oh my god Zara I ve become a fan of yours. so uhave taken the diet 6 to 7 times !!!
                      my god I was dead tired at the end of the second day. I had a feel that m,y head was about to split into two halves. I cried for some fluids. I took my friend and ordered a strong coffee and a huge masala dosa. but sadly I could even touch the food. being a great foodie, I lost all my appetetite. I just craved for some fluids thats all. and I lost my fats on third day itself.
                      but cant bear that headache. I ve never experienced such an ache. but u r true its good to flush out all the toxins from our body..
                      even my friend who suffered from chikungunya virus felt very better after taking this diet.bcoz it helped to flush out all toxins from our system.
                      but once one understands the pain of hunger, would never complain about food. because after that incident I used to relish my hostel food!!!

                    • oh i think i missed Zara comment..i too had the same problem Mitha..i went on a diet and till night my head was banging like anything..and i made 2 maggie for myself and was craving for the thrid..so at the end of the day i has more than what i have on my usual days..
