Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm 205 Elusive

Hi all,

Ok, previously I had shared a post on a beautiful purple shade from the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade Shameless. I was so impressed by that, that I went ahead and bought three others colors from that range. 🙂

And today, ill be talking about one of them and it is the Revlon “ 205 Elusive”. Super excited!

My take on Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm 205 Elusive:

This comes in a same twist up crayon pencil as Shameless, which is nothing short than adorable. The pencil is color coded so it makes it easier to find it in my vanity stash. Coming to the shade, 205 Elusive is a slight darker than a baby pink color with blue undertones. But it appears warmer on me because of my yellow tone skin. It reminds me of Mac Pink Plait but a lot warmer that that. Thankfully this doesn’t wash me out and I’m glad I have a baby pink lippy that doesn’t make look dead. :-/

The texture is creamy and glides smoothly. It is a satin matte finish so there is no tugging or pulling. But what I have noticed about these balms is that the lighter shades tends to settle into fine lines than their darker shades balms. It is not dry yet it does. But that is not a MAJOR issue so it’s all right with me! Oh, the smell of it! I love it, it has a refreshing peppermint smell with a tingling sensation but it might be a con for people who are sensitive to smell.

Pigmentation: Like all of the Revlon matte balm, Elusive too scores on the pigmentation department. It is supremely opaque and the texture is just perfect on my dry lips as it is a velvety matte and not a flat matte.

Staying power: Last for 4 to 5 hours on me. It tends to fade away slowly because of the creamy texture.
