Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor infinite apricot review

My experience with Revlon Colorstay Lipcolor Infinite Apricot

There is liquid lip color on one end of the product and transparent lip gloss on the other andit needs to be applied carefully. First time when I applied it I immediately used  the lip gloss over the lip color without giving the lip color some time to dry and there was this glue kind of film which was formed all over my lips. I hated the product and kept it aside. A few days later I again tried it but this time I waited for the product to get dry and to my surprise it worked 🙂 It stays soooo long on my lips and is difficult to remove .This is the first time I had to use baby oil to remove off my lipcolor.

Infinite apricot gives light coverage but is  able to cover  darkness around the corner of my lips.

Swatches of Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor Infinite Apricot –

Its a brownish peach shade which looks like a peachy bronzer to me and when topped with transparent lip gloss, doesn’t look overly glossy either.

What I liked about Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor :-

  • Cute and travel friendly packaging and can be used without the need of the mirror.
  • Product lasts till you want it to last 😛 .It just sticks to my lips and refuses to go therefore those who suffer from severe dry lips may require lip balm under neath it.
  • It doesn’t make my lips look artificial unlike most lip colors.
  • Keeps my lips soft and light

What I did not like about Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor

  • It’s expensive
  • Tricky to use and flake when re applied
  • I don’t like it fragrance at all. Please do sniff the product before buying it .
  • Won’t give full coverage to lips
  • Removing it off is difficult.

This is how it looks on me I have not used lip gloss over it to show you the exact colour.

Will I recommend it to others – Its has turned out a tricky product and might not work for all especially those who have super dry lips. For some women it might turned out their HG as it stays for long long time but do not forget to let the lip shade get dry.

  1. thank you so much for the honest review ana :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
the color is nice but i guess will chuck this as you mentioned the cons honey :-* :-* :-* :-*

    • Thanks Rashmi..its not a bad product at all..might suit must try it out at the counter once .its the most long lasting lip color i have come across recently.

  2. I like the concept…but seems too expensive for a lipgloss..If i have to spend this much, I’d rather spend on mac!

Fotd is superb..loving your sexy eye makeup. What’s on your waterline nd lashline? Looks similar to lakme glide on eye pencil in smoky green.

    • Hey Swati..yes indeed its very expensive. but if we talk abotu MAC then its a dube of MAC PRO LONG WEAR LIP COLOR which costs double .

  3. Color luks really nice…but again like Rash I guess I wud hav t skip lips r too dry and long stay lippes always end up doing more bad than gud for me..

    btw, Gmorning A!!!

    • Zara still i suggest u try it out once in the counter..because i have this feeling that some people might love it ..especially those ladies who do not have the time to do their re touch..

Goooood morninggg ..i slept like a baby yesterday:yawn:

  4. GM Anamika 🙂
looking at the product pic i was tempted to try it out..but coz of the cons that u have listed, i guess i wont buy it.. but the color is looking gud on u..and temme, which blush do u use..ur cheeks looking gud :-))

  5. you know oriflame also had something similar like this some 5-6 years back and i hated it :reallyangry: coz it just would not sit on my lips…since then i have always stayed away from double ended lip glosses..

  6. I generally don’t like such long stay lip colors, I’d rather reapply.. but this is a good prdt for brides & all – they don’t get time to do touch ups in between events & things like these can help them stay polished till the end 😀

    • i remember my time i was constantly re applying my lipstick in my marriage .i wish i would have known about this kind of product before..:(

      • in my case my lipstick dint even come off…i dint bite, rub or anythin and frankly i 4got i was even wering a lippy..was so scared.. 😉 and when i got bakc at night i realised i still had all makeup except for my blush intact..

  7. same here..i luv re applying..theres a certain satisfaction attached to the process of removing from purse, admiring, flipping it open and applying..hehe..
