I am here with another review of the Revlon shadowlinks I got from Santa a few days back. These cute little pans despite of a few cons have managed to make their places in my heart. So today I’ll be reviewing another shade from the range. It is “Purpleâ€.
My experience with Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks in Purple :
Shade: Revlon has done a great job by naming the shades as per the actual shades…!! So “Purple†is a beautiful purple colored eye shadow. It is pretty calm and dignified purple which looks great for the subtle morning looks and can also be paired with bold shades for a more dramatic night look.
Texture: This is from Revlon’s “matte†range. The texture is soft and smooth. It is non-shinny and has no shimmers or glitters in it.
Pigmentation: It gives a sheer wash of color for those natural and subtle day looks. However the shade can be built up by patting and can be complemented with other shiny or shimmery eye shadows to look more glamorous.
Staying Power: It stayed for 2 hours on me. I was amazed how quickly it just vanished from my lids, even with a good primer beneath.
Summing up my “LIKES†and “DISLIKESâ€:-
What I like about Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks in Purple:
- Pretty shade.
- Smooth texture.
- No fallouts.
- No creasing.
- Easily available.
- Cute packaging.
What I don’t like about Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks in Purple:
- Poor Pigmentation.
- Staying power.
- The pigments just vanish when you try to blend.
The color is nice, though matte formula is actually my favorite, but unless it has a gorgeous color pay off, I really fail to work with it. This happens with “Purple†too. The pan may look small, but it would last long. And at such a rate I guess this is the best one can get in India. It’s best for beginners or those who want to try out colors without spending a lot. Just mix and match your favorite shades to create your own customized palette by snapping them together.
