Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow Peacock
Hello my beautiful ladies,
A very Happy Diwali to my patakas and phooljharis here…
Our Santa has again sent me some yummy goodies for review. Today I’ll be reviewing the Revlon Colorstay shadowlinks mono eyeshadow in the shade “peacockâ€. These monos were launched a few months back. Though I was very excited to try them, but unfortunately I couldn’t lay my hands on any one of them at that time. So, when I opened the box sent by Santa, I was very happy to see these little babies sitting there.
About Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow:
Individual, interchangeable eyeshadow links click together to create your own customized palette of possibilities. Available in four fabulous finishes and 30 covetable, collectible shades. Change your look. In a click.
My experience with Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow Peacock :
Packaging: The eye-shadows come in a black plastic case with a transparent lid on top which helps one identify the shade within. The black-rimmed style gives it a classy and retro feel. The lid shuts with a “click†and it is safe to carry in a purse. The best part is that you can slide them together, snap and they fit together to make a palette.
Shade: True to its name it is a pretty greenish-blue color with iridescent golden shimmers. It can be used alone or combined with other shades as well. Great for fair to medium skin toned beauties.
Texture: The shadow has smooth texture and has fine pearly shimmers, which are almost non-visible on eyes. The color does not feel chalky and there is no fall out at all. It is easy to apply and blends well with other shades too.
Pigmentation: It has got a very average pigmentation, but definitely works better on top of a base. Multiple swipes are required for making this actually visible on eyes.
Staying power: It stays for 3-4 hours on me with base, and without base it stays for an hour or two.
Summing up my “LIKES†and “DISLIKESâ€:-
What I Like about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow in Peacock:
- Beautiful shade.
- Pretty iridescent shimmers.
- Non-chalky.
- Blends smoothly.
- Cute packaging.
- Easily available.
- Slide, snap system for easy customised pallets.
What I don’t like about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow in Peacock:
- Staying power.
Final thoughts on Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks in Peacock:
At first I was like “OMG..!! This little quantity and such average pigmentation??†But at such a rate I guess this is the best one can get in India. Moreover, the pan looks small, but it would definitely last long unless one really hog the shadow. It’s best for beginners or those who want to try out colors without spending a lot. Just mix and match your favorite shades to create your own customized palette by snapping them together. The color is very pretty, texture is nice and the pigmentation and staying power are okay too if worn over a base.
Rating: 3/5
