Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Perliwink

Hello gorgeous ladies,

I love playing with different colored eyeshadows and blues are among my favourites. Today I am back with a review of another Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks eyeshodow mono. It is named “Perliwink”.

 About Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow:

Individual, interchangeable eyeshadow links click together to create your own customized palette of possibilities. Available in four fabulous finishes and 30 covetable, collectible shades. Change your look. In a click.

My experience with Revlon ColorStay Shadowlinks Eyeshadow :

Packaging: The eye-shadows come in a black plastic case with a transparent lid on top which helps one identify the shade within. The black-rimmed style gives it a classy and retro feel. The lid shuts with a “click” and it is safe to carry in a purse. The best part is that you can slide them together, snap and they fit together to make a palette.

Shade: It is turquoise blue and has fine silver shimmers. The shade can be worn alone, or with some complementing light shades in the inner corner to get a bright blue eye makeup or just going smokey by adding some black or other dark shades in the outer lid. The silver shimmers give it a frosty look.

Texture: The shadow has smooth texture and has pearly finish. The color does not feel chalky and there is no fall out at all. It is easy to apply and blends well with other shades too.

Pigmentation: The shade goes on sheer but is well stocked with shimmers which are pretty visible on eyes. It takes multiple swipes for the color to show up on eyes. But with multiple swipes you only end up stocking the shimmers.

Staying power: It stays for 2-3 hours on me with base.

Summing up my “LIKES” and “DISLIKES”:-

What I Like about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks in Perliwink:

  • Beautiful shade.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Blends smoothly.
  • No fall-outs.
  • Cute packaging.
  • Easily available.
  • Slide, snap system for easy customised pallets.

What I don’t like about Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks in Perliwink:

  • Pigmentation of the color. (Not the shimmers) 😛
  • Staying power.
  • The shade may not suit every skin tone.
  • Some may find the shimmers too gritty and the finish too frosty.

Final Thoughts: The pan may look small, but it would last long. And at such a rate I guess this is the best one can get in India. It’s best for beginners or those who want to try out colors without spending a lot. Just mix and match your favorite shades to create your own customized palette by snapping them together. The color is very beautiful, pops up the eyes, gives a shine and pearl-like effect, texture is nice and the pigmentation and staying power is average though. Girls who are not fond of shimmers should skip this. I am not a huge fan of frosty finish too, but despite being loaded with the shimmers the eye shadow actually looked pretty on eyes.

Rating:- 3/5
