This is my first review on wise she and I am quite excited.
I have been an avid reader of Anamika’s blog wiseshe.com from the time of its inception and I agree she has paved the way for many to take up make-up as an interest in the blogosphere.
I usually pick up my lipsticks after having thoroughly researched on them only because I need a convincing reason to blow up my money. Lolzzz…
Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains had launched a year ago and brought with it an amazing combination of a long staying balmy texture, complexion enhancing colours and a refreshing menthol fragrance apt for the summers.
As these stains have already been reviewed a lot based on their quality and longevity on lips, I think it is best if I show you some swatches of an almost burgundy shade named Crush.
Packaging: Chubby balmy stick in a twist up; travel friendly
Shade: This shade is one of the darkest in the range – I can describe it as one between a cranberry and a burgundy.
My views on Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Crush:
The Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Crush is an awesome winter shade. One can also use it in case a subtle eye make-up is on the cards for an event. This product immediately lit up my face on the first application and I must tell you that I reach out for it whenever I sort of want a splash of burgundy colour on my dry lips and that is all!
The good thing about this product is that it doesn’t tug my lips too much even after drying into a stain; I still can feel its balm on my dry lips which is such a relief for me. This Revlon stain also does not have any noticeable shimmers. Like most other balmy stains, it finishes into a satiny-shiny feel on the lips. It has survived meals during office hours (yes I could pull it off as a slight stain on my lips) and fetched me numerous compliments.
This product made my complexion look a lot brighter. But then if area around lips are a tad bit dark or is pigmented, it might draw attention to those. There is a slight menthol fragrance like other balms which I personally love.
What I like about Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Crush:
- Great winter shade
- Can be worn with a subtle make up look to brighten up face
- Will work in favour of medium to dusky tones
- Provides a subtle balmy after-feel and a lovely stain even when several hours have gone by
- Good value for money as will last a long time
What I don’t like about Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Crush:
- The menthol fragrance can be a put off for some
If you have not bought this shade already, do try it at a store near you and I am sure you will like the awesome brightness it fills your face up with.
And if you find yourself liking it, pick it up. It’s never too late!
