There are five eyeshadow in the palette although Revlon says that each palette has four eyeshadow and one eyeliner but I find no differentiation in five of them

  • Packaging Its a sleek palette which has a side open trendy flap. These are travel friendly with a sponge applicator. One side of the applicator has a usual brush and on the opposite side is a thin eyeliner sponge brush.I rarely like any sponge applicator which comes in the palettes  but this one is sturdy and it makes the eyeshadow application pretty easy.Revlon CustomEyes Shadow & Liner Smokey Sexy Review

What I loved most is the print over the eyeshadow.I wish the print could stay intact but it gets dissolved right after first usage.

Shades:-(L to R)

  • Periwinkle Blue– It is light silverish blue colour which is nicely pigmented.I like to use it on the inner corner of my eyes.
  • Royal Blue – This is the most pigmented colour which give definition to many of the eye makeup look which i tried. It is matte and highly smooth.
  • White Highlighter-This highlighter has slight shimmer in it but it has lot of fall too.
  • Grayish blue -This blue shade needs to be build up and has slight shimmer in it.
  • Smokey black – Its like a regular smokey black which can be built up.One has to be carefull with it as it tends to look muddy sometimewhen other shades are mixed up

I tried a simple smokey eye look today by using all the five shades .White highlighter is powdery but it goes well with the smokey look.

What is most interesting about the palette is that it is best to be used with the sponge applicator or fingers. When I use soft brush, shades gets  mixed up and look muddy .For example -when I applied silverish blue in the inner corner with the help of a brush it didn’t come up nicely and when I used the sponge applicator it gave me the desired look.I experienced the same case with the greyish blue eyeshadow which I applied in the middle of the eyelid.

I luv the royal blue and grayish blue shades..they luk so pretty and the density is so gud..

The sponge brush actually works well?? cool ya..i never thought i’d see one which does its work…I too dont prefer using them…but this is really awesome!

    • oh thats a great compliment Zara..i also love royal blue..i like to pair it with the highlighter and wear it with my purple top 🙂
actually the sponge applicator works better in the sense that soft brushes makes the colour look muddy.:P

      • 🙂 🙂 The look is really nice…and just lukin at it makes me think of royalty..

i luv the royal blue shade..i want sheets in this color!!

        • i am not that fond of revlon eyeshadows but this time they made me fall for them..they were always expensive when compared with other drug store eyeshadows but this time they nailed it 😉

  4. Amazing blending Anks – no harsh lines, it all just flows beautifully. I honestly didn’t like this palette too much, coz I’m not a big fan of blue eyeshadows.. But it looks very nice on your brown eyes..

Btw – on your lashes & under eye area, there is some shimmer. Have you applied some eyeshadow on the lower lash line or Is that the fall out from the highlighter? ?:-)

  5. WOW…this is the best smokey i have come across..i try to do a smpkey and all the colours get mixed up. Anu do a tute as to ‘how not to make a smokey look burnt’

    Blending :drunk:
    Colours :drunk:
    Over all :drunk: :drunk:

    • Mitra simpletrick is not to mic the colour and stay in the defined imagined border..:P

and how is yur health today..and i can see u r drinking too much above…u going for harry potter this weekend??

  6. i do try that, but i go over board with the ‘bkending’ i blend them soo well that you can hardly tell the colours used !!

    • yaa because we dont want to look like a fantasy queen ..so it is better to blend and blend..initially when i blended the royal blue shade it was not even apparent so i top more of it..but then didnt blend it much because i wanted it to show..

  7. The EOTD is very pretty Ana.nice blending…..and I loved the palette from ur description..Btw, have u swatched the others too on the blog?? Would like to see the selection :-))
