Hello girls, today’s review is about my most favorite makeup product- Lilpliners, and that too from one of my favorite brands- Revlon. Today Iam going to review Revlon Timeliner for lips in shade Toast.
About Revlon Timeliner for Lips:
Revlon Colorstay Timeliner Lipliner, that are silky smooth and long lasting lip pencil that lines and defines your lips.
How to apply?
First apply a little foundation on your lips then line your lips starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips using small strokes, following the contour of your mouth. Follow the same technique for your bottom lip. To extend the wear of your favorite lipcolor or lipgloss, first fill in your lips completely with lip liner and then apply the lippy/ gloss. Blend in the liner and lipstick together with a brush for a natural, “lived in” finish and carefully wipe out the colour that has came out from the contour of the lips.
Price and Quantity: .04 Oz/1.1 grams for Rs. 235/-
Packaging: The lip liner comes in a pencil form. The pencil is golden in color with a golden cap. The end part of the pencil is of the same shade as that of the lip liner. These lip pencils are sharpenable, and hence more hygienic than retractable ones, they can easily be sharpened with a regular make-up pencil sharpener but owing to their soft and creamy texture I need to be extra careful otherwise it may lead to product wastage. However the cap of the liner didn’t fits tightly and can come out if you are not careful.
Country of Origin: Made in Germany.
Available in: 9 shades:
- Real Red,
- Very Mauve.
My take on the Revlon Timeliner for Lips in Toast:
The lipliner is soft and creamy and glides like a dream on the lips. Although this liner is a bit drying but applying lip balm on the lips before applying it solves the issue.
The colour is rusty red having pinkish undertones. Pigmentation wise these liners are very good- just a swipe and I get the required colour on my lips.
The colour neither feathers nor majorly accentuates the imperfections on my lips. I agree that these liners are a bit drying but not very drying as like some liners from other brands.
The staying power of these lipliners is very good, they stay put together for 4-5 hours easily and also put my lippies bleed-proof and intact and I agree the name timeliner is very apt for these beauties.
What I like about Revlon Revlon Timeliner for Lips in Toast:
- Didn’t accentuate imperfection of lips.
- Glides easily on lips.
- Pencil form- hygienic and comfortable to use.
- Great staying power.
- No funny smell.
- Lovely shade.
What I don’t like about Revlon Timeliner for Lips in Toast:
- Not easily available.
- The cap is loosely fitting so it is not a very travel friendly form of packaging.
- Complete list of ingredients is missing.
Shall I recommend it? Definitely I do.
