Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow Va Va Va Bloom Review

Revlon Illiminance creme shadow – I have been using this Revlon eyeshadow since three months in many eye makeup looks so thought of reviewing it today.

Because of my oily lids I wasn’t much interested in picking it up πŸ™ but still my heart wanted it to try it. You can see some of my looks which I did with this eyeshadow Quad here

Price of Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow is Rs 495

What is creme eyeshadow  –

Creme eyeshadows are made from powdered pigments which are mixed with some waxes and moisturizer which results in creamy consistency. (wikipedia)

Revlon Va Va Va Bloom Reviews

It has a subtle shimmer which stays long on my eyelids however I do have to prime my lids and apply loose powder on them otherwise it creases like anything. It is easy to apply and one can use their fingers or brushes for it. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lids.

Packaging – It is a travel friendly quad, albeit you have to be careful while opening it. My nails got dipped into the shadow so many times.

As the eyeshadow creases badly, I have started using it as a base whenever I do plum or gold eye makeup.

There is a little inbuilt mirror in the quad which is large enough to do eye makeup or apply blush.

Has a sturdy and beautiful packaging and I so wish for a free brush with the Quad. Whenever I use my everyday makeup eyeshadow brush, I have to wash it immediately otherwise the creme shadow gets stuck on it and I can not use any other eyeshadow on that brush.

Pigmentation is amazing and shades are beautiful.

Swatches of Revlon Creme Shadow Va Va Va Bloom (L to R)

There is dark plum , light golden , persian purple, silvery pink .For better pigmentation I swiped them twice.I used them as a liner also and because of the pigmentation it turned out beautiful especially the plum colour.

Problem with the creme shadows is that they are difficult to blend together. I can not use them in my crease and most of the time I used the eyeshadow only as a base to line my eyes, or just used the single colour on my eye lids with gold as a highlighter.

Secondly if one doesn’t use a primer then it wears off easily.

Still I think it is a nice quad which has beautiful colours .If you have dry eyelids then it might become one of your favorite.

  1. I have this too! I tried a look with plum and gold for a function. It looked beautiful!
But I hate using my fingers for applying this. And I’m not able to apply it properly with a brush πŸ™

  2. lovely palette ana πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ rem once i mentioned i want to pick this but i have super oily lids so guess this is a pass for me πŸ™ πŸ™

  3. i ve been using revlon 10 e/s pallate fo years .just a single colour all over my eyelids with a pearly goldish white high lighter…wih my increased interest in eye makeup now..stated to use these cream shadows as a base…they r pretty good and last for a really long time..mine is almost 6 yrs old …

  4. I recently got 2 palettes of Revlon e/s. one in the moon lit jewel palette shade while the other was in wild orchids.

I got one palatte free with the other in an offer time.

Ya I do find them creasing but not too much of a problem as I dont have oily lids.

Love the moonlit jewels more.. especially the blue and green shades in them πŸ™‚
