The delicate saffron or Kesar is an amazing spice that spices up not only food but also your beauty. The most expensive spice is great for skin. It is grown in abundance in North-India. Many skin care brands claim the presence of saffron in their products but we can never be sure about these claims. Lets just take a look at many benefits of saffron.
Soak up few stands of saffron in milk for 2 hours. Then apply this milk all over your face and neck. Wash off after 20 minutes. Apart from instant fresh look, your skin will become inherently glowing with regular use.
Mix 5-6 basil leaves with 10-12 strands of saffron to make a fine paste. Apply on face and wash after 15 minutes. Your pimples will reduce dramatically.
Soak chironji or charoli seeds (Buchanania lanzan) and saffron in milk overnight. Grind this mixture the next day and apply on your skin. This face mask is very beneficial for making you skin fair and glowing.
Massage your face with malai(milk cream) with two strands of saffron added to it. With regular usage, you will get fair and radiant skin and will get rid of your tan.
Dull Skin Renewal
Take 2-3 strands of saffron, 1 pinch of sugar, 1 teaspoon of milk, 1 teaspoon of water and 2-3 drops of coconut oil or olive oil. Keep 2-3 strands of saffron in one teaspoon of water overnight. Next day take this yellowish water and add milk, sugar and coconut/olive oil to this. Dip a piece of bread in this mixture and wipe your face with this piece of bread. Keep this mix on your face for 15 minutes. This saffron mask improves blood circulation and freshens up dull complexion instantly. It helps to reduce dark circles and fine lines.
You can mix one pinch of saffron with liquorice and milk. Apply this mix on scalp. This mask reduces hair fall and promotes the growth of new hair.
