Sephora Rose Sleeping Face Mask Review
Today I am going to review the Sephora Sleeping Mask (spoiler alert- I really like it!)
I just randomly added this to my Sephora Shopping Cart because I was few $$ short of the free shipping over $50 and honestly now I would go back to Sephora to get one as soon as I run out of it.
About Sephora Rose Sleeping Face Mask
What it is formulated to do: Each of these masks is infused with a different active ingredient for relaxing the skin and achieving a brighter, more revitalized complexion. The luxurious cream-gel texture melts into skin for penetration of the active ingredients while you sleep.
Rose Mask: Plumps skin and gives an immediate radiance boost for hydrated, more luminous skin.
How To Use?
In the evening, apply a fine layer evenly over clean, dry skin, including the face, the neck, and around the eyes. Let it work overnight. If necessary, rinse off any excess in the morning.
Price: $4 for 8ml / INR 380 for 8ml
Packaging: It comes in a disposable pod packaging which you can throw away once you are done using the product. I do not like the packaging because after you have opened the packaging/opened the seal, you can’t reseal/close the pod again and since I didn’t use the entire face mask for one use storing it is a problem for me.
It is meant for a single use but I can get 3-4 uses out of the mask hence once I opened the mask I wrapped it in a paper towel and stored in a small plastic container. Storing the mask is a hassle if you intend to use it a couple of times and not just once. I wish they would change the packaging so that storing the products wouldn’t be such a hassle.
Texture: It is transparent and has a creamy gel-like formula. It has a sweet rosewater-like fragrance but nothing too strong. I applied a thin layer of the product to my entire face excluding the area around my eyes. It gets absorbed into the skin in a couple of minutes. The skin does feel tacky after application but nothing uncomfortable. Also, it does not transfer to pillow or sheets as it gets absorbed into the skin quickly so you don’t have to worry about ruining your sheets or pillow.
My Thoughts about Sephora Rose Sleeping Face Mask
I got the Rose Sleeping mask which is for Ultra Moisturizing & Brightening.
I applied the mask before going to bed. Then I cleansed and toned my face as usual and instead of applying my moisturizer, I applied the rose face mask and left it on overnight.
The next morning, I washed my face with lukewarm water. My skin did feel hydrated and I did see a slight glow in my skin. It did plum up my face a little bit. I’ve combination skin with dry patches on my forehead and around my mouth and jaw area hence I prefer hydrating products over mattifying ones. This mask brought moisture back to my face and helped get rid of my dry patches to a great extent. Since the winters here in Michigan is very harsh, my skin is constantly dehydrated and dry and this mask gave exactly what my skin needed.
My skin felt smoother and soft after applying this mask. My combination skin tends to get very dry during winters except around my T-Zone area but it still did not break me out. So even if you have oily/combination skin this may still work well for you. For me the true test of whether I like a product or not is whether I will repurchase the product or not and I will definitely be repurchasing this mask once I run out of it.
What I like about Sephora Rose Sleeping Face Mask?
- Its a hassle-free mask as it’s easy to apply and take off
- Very hydrating
- Doesn’t have any fake/overpowering fragrance
- Did make my skin soft and supple
- Did give my skin a subtle glow
- It is travel-friendly
- Available in India at Sephora (Yay)
What I don’t like about Sephora Rose Sleeping Face Mask?
- I do not like the packaging as its not resealable
- Quantity of the product is quite less for the price you pay
- Expensive for a one-time use mask although you can get a couple of uses out of it
My Overall Recommendation: It is a little expensive for the quantity of product you get in it, I try to get at least 3 uses out of it but still a great product. If you have dry skin and especially since its winter now I would highly recommend this mask because it did work for me. My skin did feel hydrated for quite a few days after I used this mask. Also, they have quite a few different masks depending on your needs so you definitely can get a mask suitable for your skin needs/issues.
