Sesa Shampoo with Nourishing Oil
Hello lovely ladies..I am back after a short break. This time for a change, I thought of writing a post on a hair care product- a shampoo. As like other parts of our body our scalp also have sebaceous glands. These glands are connected to an individual hair follicle and are responsible for secreting sebum, the natural oils that moisturizes our hair. However not only natural moisturiser, these glands are also responsible for secretion of excess oils and cellular debris onto our scalp and thus our hair. To clean our hair is not only a hygiene issue, but a necessity as well! Regularly shampooing our hair not only keep our hair healthy and clean but also keep other dermalogical problems like acne or allergy at bay.
As I have mentioned in my earlier posts, I have very, I mean very oily skin, and my scalp and hair are no exception either. Oily skin is ok, but why my hair are equally oily, I wonder sometimes. When I googled, I find that oily hair is caused by excess production of sebum, which scalp is unable to balance. The excess oil can make our hair look greasy all the time. So what to do to get rid of this? One solution is to regularly wash our hair as frequently as possible using a mild shampoo to prevent stripping the natural oil. An effective shampoo can help in removing excess oil from your scalp, which will in turn prevent our hair from greasiness and all other potential negative side effects.
There were days when I suffered with this super oily hair days, so I started shampooing my hair daily using an “X†brand which is one of those harsh shampoos for hair- and as a result my hair started feeling weird after washing my hair with this shampoo straight for a month. So now the situation was just opposite, to clean my hair I started searching for shampoos that will take care of my hair and that can bring my hair back to normal :-D. So I settled upon a shampoo meant for dry to normal hair- girls can you believe this- super idiotic I must be sounding, no?
Anyways coming back to today’s review which is about Sesa Shampoo with Nourishing Oil- daily care for dull and dry hair.

My views on Sesa Shampoo with Nourishing Oil:
The shampoo is white in colour with a runny consistency and has a bit strong fruity smell that lingers on for some time post washing your hair. The product is housed in white opaque plastic bottle and has a white flip open cap. Though the packaging is sturdy yet it is not travel friendly as the shampoo spills from the bottle when once I carried it my travel bag, so I make sure to pack it in dual cover if any case I have to carry it along.
Since the shampoo has a lotion like consistency, it is easy to work with- that means the shampoo can be spread easily on hair and scalp. The shampoo lathers well however I need more than the required quantity of the shampoo to effectively clean my hair- may be because basically my hair are oily by nature.
The shampoo can be rinsed off easily without wasting buckets of water. As suggested this shampoo didn’t strips out the natural moisture out from my hair and still cleaned them. So all in all it is a good and decent shampoo for dry to normal hair- a good hair cleanser indeed but doesn’t do anything extra like hair fall prevention etc, however there are also no such claims made as well!
What I like about Sesa Shampoo with Nourishing Oil:
- Doesn’t strips out natural moisture from hair.
- Fruity smell lingers on for some time post washing hair.
- Affordable and easily available.
- Said to contain nourishing oil to take care of dry hair.
- Easy to work with.
What I dont like about Sesa Shampoo with Nourishing Oil:
- Non-travel friendly packaging.
- Not at all suitable for oily hair.
Rating: 3/5 for dry scalp.
Shall I recommend it? Yes if you have dry hair, it is a gentle shampoo but don’t expect anything extra from it except a thorough cleansing part.
