My take on Shahnaz Hussain 6-in-1 Nano After Sun:
This summer, I was looking out for an after sun cooling gel for my skin. In past I have used lakme after sun gel and VLCC after sun gel and I was impressed with both. I wanted something similar to those two products. I searched a lot but did not find any such product. I usually never visit Shahnaz Husain counter ever as most of the products from this brand does more harm to my skin than good. I have had maximum bad experiences with its products except one or two. However, the word nano after sun moisturiser caught my eyes. I am a keen observer when it comes to makeup and cosmetics 😀 I checked the ingredient list and description of the product and guys let me tell you I was totally sold by it. It contains some 80 g of product and costs only 250 bucks. It contains hell lot of amazing ingredients and the big surprise was it is also enriched with plant meristem cells that is stem cells. I have never ever till date seen stem cells as ingredient in any drugstore product. Usually stem cells are used by high end brands and those cost a bomb. So I ended up buying this product. Now read further to know if it actually stayed upto the mark or not.
Packaging: This product comes in a yellow colored tube packaging with a flip on cap. I find the cap to be loosely fitted to the tube and thus there can be product wastage. The nozzle of the tube is big and it dispenses lots of product each time. Though it is hygienic I really hated its packaging. This product is a moisturiser I would have preferred bottle with pump dispenser. List of ingredients along with description about the product is mentioned in the outer carton.
Texture: This product is runny in consistency, it is more runny than a moisturiser so its packaging is not a plus point rather a negative point of this product. With time, this product has a tendency to separate into two layers, one of product another of water. So while dispensing, water comes out first, that was another con of this product.
Effectiveness: I have been using this product since a month and am ready to review it properly. This moisturiser has been formulated to be used after sun exposure to soothe sun burnt or tired looking skin. It has cooling effects on my skin. The moment I apply it, there is some sensation along with cooling effects that absolutely soothes my skin and it feels great after a tiring day. It instantly makes my skin velvety soft and very smooth. I also felt there was reduction in appearance of pore size. It made my skin look bright and alive instantly. I was damn impressed with its effects and started using it regularly. Then I decided to use it as a daily moisturiser. I used it and applied my makeup and went out. That was when all the hell broke out.
This moisturiser kind of makes my face more sweaty than usual, my makeup melted faster. Then I realized this product is meant to be used after sun exposure and should be used that way itself and not as a daily moisturiser.
