Hello Lovely Readers,
I hope you remember that I had received few goodies from Sleek MakeUP and that I will be sharing my thoughts over them in a few days! Well, as promised, I am here with an everyday makeup item from Sleek MakeUP which was a pressed powder. Lets see what the company claims about this product-
About Sleek MakeUP Luminous Pressed Powder-
The brand describes it as an illuminating pressed powder which basically provides a healthy and natural looking glow to the face. Some of the additional features are-
- Provides light to medium coverage
- Evens out skin tone whilst providing a healthy glow
- Works well when applied over any Sleek MakeUP foundation
- Perfect for enhancing a sun kissed tan
- Contains SPF 15 which protects skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays
- Set in a mirrored compact, ideal for touch-ups throughout the day to refresh makeup
Price- $ 10.49 for 10gm
Ingredients- Talc, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Nylon-12, Dimethicone, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Magnesium Stearate, Jojoba Esters, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Octocrylene, may contain ± Mica CI 77019, Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, D&C Red 30 CI 73360, Iron Oxide Yellow CI 77492, Iron Oxide Red CI 77491, Iron Oxide Black CI 77499.
Directions To Use-With a powder brush, carefully sweep onto the face, use to set makeup and achieve a matte finish. The light reflecting pigments will ensure you glow rather than shine.
Use a shade darker than your skin tone as a bronzer, or a lighter shade as an illuminating highlighter.
Packaging-The pressed powder is housed in a square case which has a classy black body with only the brand name written on top of it. It contains a mirror on the opposite side of the powder. There is a compact sponge provided with this powder compact but its not of that great quality.
Shade & Texture-
There are only 4 shades of pressed powder and I received the shade number 02 and the shade exactly matches to my skin tone. I think it will be perfect for NC40 -NC42 skin tones.
The texture of this luminous pressed powder is really fine and applies evenly on the skin without making it look much  obvious.
My Experience with Sleek MakeUP Luminous Pressed Powder-
So far, my experience with this pressed powder has been quite good. It is surely a great compact to include in your kitty. Unlike other compact powder which usually mattifies the makeup, this luminous pressed powder adds a little shine to the makeup look giving a radiant appearance.
The luminous pressed powder doesn’t have any visible shimmers in it , it is just that the application reveals a glowy face and the makeup looks quite radiant.
With the Fall season approaching, I am sure it is going to get me the much required glow with my makeup as the skin turns a little dry in comparison to the summer months. But am sure as the climate changes again, it will look more shiny on my oily T-zone and then I would definitely have to look out for a mattifying pressed powder.
So if you want that your compact powder apart from giving a good finish also gives a little bit of shine, then this luminous pressed powder is surely for you!
Overall, it gives a nice glow to the makeup and also doesn’t look that obvious on the skin. One can easily opt out to wear this on any given day without worrying about looking Over The Top! (Y)
