Sonam Kapoor Inspired Smokey Eye Makeup Look + Video
Hello WiseShe Beauties,
Christmas is just round the week now and so I thought of doing this smokey eye makeup look which has been inspired by the stunning actress Sonam Kapoor. I didn’t want to come up with a traditional Indian makeup because most of us would prefer western outfits for the Christmas celebrations and so a deep smokey eye with nude pink lips appealed to me like nothing else for the Christmas eve and also the New Year parties you might be going to by the end of the month! 🙂
So, here I have a detailed breakdown of the makeup look and the hair and I have tried to to recreate the look with similar black top and statement necklace along with a similar hairstyle! Hope you like the look!
Here is the makeup breakdown-
First of all I applied the Kryolan Eye primer so as to make the eye makeup come out beautifully! Next I used Lakme Absolute Black black eye liner and outline the upper lash line not very accurately! If you skip, this step and rely only on an eye shadow then the deep smokey eye look doesn’t come out that well!
Next I used an eye smudger to smudge this black outline on my upper eyelid.
Next I used the Sleek I-Divine Eye Shadow Palette sparkle 2895 and applied softly over the lids. The main purpose it to not create sharp lines and try to blend the edges perfectly for an impressive look!
Next I used MAC Matte Bronzing powder over the eye crease-area and try to give a soft edge to the deep color over the lids. Blend very well as this is going to take a little time!
Next I used the golden shade from the same Sleek I-Divine Palette and applied it over the brow bone area for highlighting the deep smokey eye look!
I used the Maybelline Duo Shaper Brow Pencil, I shaped my eye brows to give them a bold look!
I used the Clarins Smooth Perfecting Primer all over the face to give a smooth base for the face makeup and make it easy for the foundation to blend! It helps in reducing the pores. Then I use the Kryolan TV Paint Stick on the face as you can clearly see in the video! I mostly use my fingers or beauty blender to blend the foundation carefully!
Next I use the Loreal Lumi Magic Highlighter under my eyes at the corners of my lips. I use on the t-zone on the bridge of the nose and the chin area as well!
So after blending every thing well I applied the loose powder to give a finishing look to the makeup and make the look uniform!
Now I applied the black eyeliner again on the waterline and with the help of any eye brush I smudged it a little and drag it to the outer corner!
Coming to the contouring part which is really evident in Sonam Kapoor’s look, I used the MAC Matte Bronzing Powder as this looks very natural one can easily use it at the beginner level as well since it is not too dark!
Next to apply is the blush and I used Milani Baked Powder Blush in Rose D’ore over the cheekbones! The look has an over done blush so I have also made sure that the blush looks pretty evident!
Next in line is the Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter which is really one of the best products I got hold of and it gives the most natural highlight to my face!
I used the lipstick Lakme 9To5 Crease-Less Lipstick Rose Line.
Well, it is all you need to do! Just do a middle partition of your hair and tie in in a clean looking bun. A black top and a heavy statement necklace is all you need!
