Those who don’t know how to make stuffed capsicum believe it be a complicated recipe but in reality it is pretty simple to make.It is just that you should know the simple tricks.Once you learn how to make it and if you are a foodie like me then you will keep experimenting it with many things .You can make stuff capsicum with masala kheema,with gram flour(besan),with rice and list goes on and on.
Below recipe can be made with oven as well as without oven.If you make it in oven then you will not have to fry it .This will save lot of calories but yes if you fry it then it will taste heavenly .
Preparation and cooking -40 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients:-
5 capsicum(shimla mirch)
1 finely chopped onion
3 medium size boiled potatoes
Salt to taste
1/4tso dry mango powder(Aamchoor)
1/4tsp turmeric powder
1/2tsp red chilli powder
1 finely chopped green chillies
1tsp coriander powder
Cooking oil for frying 
Preperation and method-



For potatoes masala

Step1-Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds when hot.Wait till cumin seeds starts spluttering.

Step2-Add chopped onion and green chillies an saute them until brown.

Step3-Mashed the boiled potatoes and add them in the onion.

Step4:Add all the powdered spices and mix them well.Cook for 5-8 minutes till potatoes absorb all the masala.

For bharwa shimla mirch

Step1-Wash the green peppers well and pat dry them with a towel.You can slit the capsisum or can cut the top off about 1″ from where the stem is attached. Remove all the seeds and pith and discard. Trim bottoms very slightly.

Step2-Fill each green pepper to the top with the mashed potato mix. Press down and top up to ensure they are well filled.

Step3:Heat oil in a pan again .When hot add the peppers (standing up) and fry till soft.

Step4:Now take oil/ghee in a kadhai and fry the stuffed capsicums on all sides.

Step5:Garnish the bharawan capsicum with grated paneer, chopped coriander leaves and thinly sliced rings of tomato. Serve hot.


For those who are interested in baking capsisum

Preheat the oven to 350F .keep the stuffed capsicum in a baking pan and keep in the oven for half and hour.
