Baked makeup products had always fascinated me. And the product that I’m going to talk about was my first ever-baked eye shadow. All right! This is a very common question asked, “what are baked shadows? “
To clear confusion for beginners, Baked eye shadow is a type of eye shadow, which is baked in the sun while it is processed. The color pigments are allowed to set in by heating the compounds in the sun so that a smooth texture is achieved. Two completely separate looks can be created with this type of eye makeup, which can be used, both dry and wet.
So, on today’s post, ill be sharing one of my first and favorite baked eye product and it is The Body Shop Bake Eye color in the shade 07 Sapphire.

My take on The Body Shop 07 Sapphire Baked Eye Color:
These baked eye colors are packed in a circular plastic case with a see through flip top. The Body shop logo is printed on it and a sticker is labeled on the bottom of the case with the shade name on it. The color Sapphire consists of two different shades of blues. The left baked part is a light blue color which I prefer wearing during day time and the right side has quite an intense and pigmented darkest blue shade, hmm more of a midnight blue is what I would call it with some streaks of sky blues to it. Both contain a fair amount of shimmers. One can create quite some looks with it from daily basic day wear to an evening smoked up look.
Texture: The texture is not satiny nor is it too gritty. The little amount of grittiness feeling comes from the glitters present in it. The colors blend easily. I mostly use the darker shade on the crease of my eyes for a smoky effect as seen on the eye swatches below.
Pigmentation: The products swiped on both the fingers and eyes swatches are applied when dry. The pigmentation is superb. When used wet, the colors tends to get even more pigmented.
Lasting power: It stays put for an entire day/ night so a touch up is not even required.
Price: 1,295 INR for 2g
