Tips To Remove Glitter Makeup
For all those pretty ladies wishing to add that glamour quotient or that extra jazz to their looks, I’d say glitter all the way!! Yes dears, a dab of glitter on the right areas, can actually accentuate your entire look to a different level altogether. Glitter makeup has a strong connection with festive and parties. It is like, no party makeup is complete without a dab of glitter on the right places.
But the harsh truth about glitter is that after you have had your fun with it, it is awfully hard to remove from your clothes and yourself. Removing glitter makeup is one heck of a job. Even a few days back, the fun of applying glitter makeup used to vanish as soon as I thought of the pain of removing it. But worry no more. I have learned some fun, easy ways of removing glitter makeup. There will be no rubbing, no pain and no glitter mess all over your face and body.
So let us go through these easy methods of removing glitter makeup…
Use Oil based Remover
Switch to an oil-based makeup remover. Don’t go harsh and heavy on your skin. Be extra gentle. Take a thick cotton pad, soak with the cleanser and go over the area several times. Don’t rub and irritate your skin and eyes, and don’t get glitter in them.
Cleansing milk works well too. Just wet a cotton ball, squeeze it, pour in the cleansing milk and dab on the glitters. Wait for a few moments and then gently massage. Remove with lukewarm water.
Warm up baby oil and apply it on the glitter particles. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then mop off the oil with the help of a wet washcloth. Rinse with lukewarm water.
If you can’t get a makeup remover, cleansing milk or oil, a cold cream will do the trick. Actually any cream which has a thick texture will work. The procedure is same. Massage the cream on the glitter particles, let it sit for 5 minutes and then remove the cream with the help of a wet washcloth. Rinse with lukewarm water.
Scotch tape trick
This will work great if you are left with pesky individual pieces of glitter on your cheeks while applying glitter makeup. You can try dusting them off with a brush, if they still refuse to go, take a scotch tape and gently place them over the glitters. They will cling to the tape. You can use this tip to remove glitter particles from your hand and body too.
A lint roller or lint remover is a roll of one-sided adhesive paper on a cardboard or plastic barrel that is mounted on a central spindle, with an attached handle. It will pick up lint from your clothes as well as the glitter particles.
Tip:- Before trying any of these, just splash your face with lukewarm water and pat dry with a dry towel. You can also place a wash cloth dipped in warm water on the glitter particles for a few seconds before applying makeup remover, cleansing milk or oil. This will loosen away the glitter layer.
So hope you find the tips helpful. Now go and prepare for the New Year party, dress up to dance the night away.
