Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick – Dream House

Hey gorgeous girls,

I recently showed you all the Too Faced Melt Your Heart Out Set and have already reviewed the Too Faced Liquified Lipstick in shade Peony which was a part of the set, you can check the review here.

Now I am here today to share the review on the second lipstick from this set which is the Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick in shade Dream House. I am not very happy with this lipstick.

Dig in to know why.

Too Faced Melt Your Heart Out Set Packaging

Packaging: I got this metallic liquid lip color as a part of a set which came in an outer carton box packaging and had all the necessary details mentioned. Inside lie the two lip colors.

The metallic liquefied lip color came in a fibrous plastic color coded tube and had a metallic golden cap that screw opens. The tube had an angled applicator tip attached to ease the application.

Texture: This liquid lip color has a smooth mediocre texture neither thick nor runny.  It has shimmer particles which do not feel gritty at all.

Too Faced Melt Your Heart Out Set Swatches

Shade: Dream House is a gorgeous fuchsia pink shade with some shimmer and has some sheen to it. It has a very glossy finish.

Color Pay Off:  This where this lipstick gets a bit tricky. In swatches it shows great color deposits in a single swipe but when applied on lips, it disappoints. In no way it will cover up pigmented lips

My Take: Considering the entire buzz about the Too faced melted lipsticks, I without many thoughts grabbed this limited edition, but I feel that set is not that fabulous. The other shade from the shade washed me out, and this shade lacks color to cover my pigmented lips.

Probably I have not got the right shades best suited for me; I give these lipsticks a benefit of doubt here.

I actually think that there is nothing like a metallic lipstick in it and it is more like gloss for me. And for a gloss, the good thing here is that it is non – sticky. The applicator tip provided is good and I like the fact how it eases the application.

I somehow happen to like this color a bit, it has a gorgeous bright sheen. This shade fails to hide pigmentation if worn alone and when it fades, it looks as if there is barely any lip color on my lips. This explains clearly why I am not a big fan of wearing this alone, but like to wear it over Peony to make the shade look better.

I would say that the set was planned nicely as for me none of the lipstick fared well when worn alone, but when worn together the overall impact becomes a little better, in the picture below you can see how this shades looks when worn together.

Too Faced Melt Your Heart Out Set FOTD

After using both the too faced lipsticks from the Melted Liquified range and the Melted Metallic Metals, I would say that the melted liquefied range is better. You can check the other swatches of the other colors of the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipsticks here.

What I Like About Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick – Dream House:

  • The sturdy packaging.
  • Nice angled tip applicator.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Moisturize lips.
  • Looks better when worn on top of a lip color.

What I Don’t Like About Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick – Dream House:

  • Poor color pay off.
  • Fails to hide pigmented lips.
  • Need to put in efforts to make it look better.
  • Expensive for a gloss.

Rating: 3/5

Will I Recommend: I will only recommend it to girls who look for a sheer gloss and do not look for great pay off. And for ladies I suggest not to buy this.
