Traditional Bindi Inspired Fusion Look

Traditional Bindi Inspired Fusion Look

Hello Everyone,

Today I am here to share something very different which I have tried in the past years of Beauty Blogging! It was more of a celebrating womanhood. Although Women’s Day has already passed but you don’t need a single day to feel special about yourself right!

It was my birthday week also which also contributed to the thoughts as you learn each day and grow as a person in your life.

I am not very much into arts but I do love to explore the amazing artworks by famous artists whenever I get time. So, this time an image of a contemporary Indian Women was shaping up in my mind since a long time and I was keen on doing something with the help of makeup!

Well, makeup is surely a great art and you can reflect the perception of being beautiful with makeup very easily!

So, I tried this look with many over-lapping thoughts like that on the quintessential woman who loves to explore different looks. It also came out to be my version of the Fusion of traditional and modern look.

I tried to pair the traditional big bindi with an elaborate eye makeup for this fusion look.

Bindi is usually a symbolic representation of the Indian women as a tradition to flaunt and also has a scientific reason behind it. It is believed that it retains energy and conserves strong concentration power! Well, I can’t comment of how true the reason is as in the recent times, women hardly wear bindi on a daily basis except special occasions!

I have kept the makeup subtle and expressive. I didn’t want the Fusion look to be very bold so I kept the Bindi color  light and suitable as per my complexion!A nude lip color is what I thought would go well with the look. I tried to give an ethnic touch by adding ethnic necklace and earrings to go with this look of mine!

So this was the idea behind this look which I attempted after quite a lot of contemplation! Now after this look I am thinking to try more fusion looks. I hope you like it! 🙂

Have you tried something similar before?

  1. You look great except for the bindi you have drawn on ur forehead. It looks greasy and untidy. You could have put an actual big bindi sticker instead of drawing it or could be drawn with some matte lipstick or liquid.

  2. Yaa! you are right..matte lipstick would have made it look better but even if its glossy i find that the large bindi itslef is what is making the look different..:)

thanks for the feed back 🙂
