Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse Review & Swatches

Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse

Hey all beauty geeks!!! I am married to a guy who loves travelling. If we spend even one weekend at home, he will start feeling a little edgy. The travels can be well planned as well as very instantaneous. And I am somebody who has ‘inertia’ issues. πŸ˜‰ But, I have started enjoying these random vacations as they do charge you up. So, in addition to keeping a travel list always handy, I keep an eye for products that could solve my makeup worries while travelling. Which means a compact and multi-purpose product. Palettes are usually the solution. I bought Ulta Sculpting Palette keeping the same thing in mind – convenience and multiuse. So, lets find out did it find a place in my travel kit. πŸ™‚

My take on Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse:

Ulta Sculpting Palette is a brilliant palette to have. It has a non-shimmery bronzer to contour, a vibrant blush for the color and not-so-blingy highlighter. The palette comes in three shades. I picked up Muse as it was the only option that will suit medium skin tones with yellow undertones. The bronzer is a medium dark shade of brown, the blush is a beautiful coral with strong orange undertones and the highlighter is creamy beige. All the colors are perfect for my medium skin and look flattering with every makeup look.

I am so happy with this palette. It is, indeed, awesome for travelling as I do not have to worry about carrying a blush, a bronzer and a highlighter separately. However, it is perfect for daily use as well. I do not have to search for all three products separately and hence, my makeup time is highly reduced. The other advantage is – I actually ‘remember’ to slightly contour my face as everything is in the same palette. ;)The bronze is semi-matte for contouring and the highlighter has a very subtle sheen to it. No shimmer or anything. πŸ™‚

This palette is not just for sculpting the face. I use it for my eye look as well. Apply the highlighter as the overall lid color, deepen the crease with the bronzer and use the blush to slightly blend the crease. You have an awesome natural eye look. πŸ™‚

Texture: All the three products in Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse are very creamy and apply smoothly. There is bit fallout though, as they are little powdery. But nothing that cannot be managed. All the three have satin, semi-matte finish which looks so natural on the skin. Blends perfectly and do not streak at all.

Pigmentation: Bronzer and blush are crazily pigmented. You just need to tap your brush and you get a good amount of color on the face. Since highlighter is very subtle, you need more swipes to get a sheen. But that might be due to the absence of shimmers.

Staying Power: Stays for about 5-6 hours in heat.

Packaging: Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse is a huge pan consisting of all the three products. It comes in basic plastic disc with a transparent lid. The bronzer is the largest of the three, with blush and highlighter getting one-fourth of the palette each.

What I like about Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse:

  • Beautiful shades of bronzer, blush and highlighter.
  • Semi-matte finish with absolutely no shimmers.
  • Good pigmentation.
  • Creamy and smooth texture.
  • Very blendable.
  • Stays for long.
  • Perfect for daily as well as special use.
  • Convenient and multi-purpose palette.
  • Huge quantity.

What I do not like about Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse:

  • Sheer pigmentation of the highlighter.
  • A bit powdery to use.
  • Packaging might not be very sturdy.
  • No brush provided, though it is not a con for me.
  • Unavailability in India.

Final Impression: Ulta Sculpting Palette in Muse has definitely made my life easier and took care of my travelling woes. I love using this palette on a daily basis and love all the three shades of the products. They suit my skin tone perfectly, giving me a natural-looking contoured face. Pick it up to ease your makeup routine. Must have for ‘contouring’ fans. Definitely Recommended!!!
