Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Native

Hii sweet ladies,

How are you all doing?? This sale season is taking its toll on my pocket ..

Today’s review will be on a lipstick from Urban Decay, it’s called NATIVE. I have been eyeing this product since I saw Christine’s review on Temptalia. So a few days back when I saw Rashmi selling this brand new UD Native lipstick, I couldn’t stop myself from buying it. Rashmi, I can’t thank you enough 😀

My experience with Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Native :-

Packaging:- The packaging is a gorgeous sleek gun metallic case. The chiseled edge of the lipstick helps in drawing the Cupid’s bow and lining the lips perfectly. The whole thing looks very luxurious and classy.

Shade:- Peachy pinky nude devoid of any shimmers. This is a gorgeous neutral/slightly warm medium-ish shade with a glossy sheen. A perfect everyday neutral shade that works with neutral morning looks and complements the sexy sultry night looks too.

Texture:- It glides on thick and creamy on lips like a total breeze without tugging. It has a soft buttery texture , thus I do not feel any dryness on my lips even after hours of wearing it on the lips. I have dry lips but I didn’t feel any need to apply any balm underneath or above the shade. They are so smooth, I love how it feels on my lips.

Pigmentation:- They go opaque in one-two swipes. You don’t really have to work hard to get a full coverage.

Staying Power:- It stayed on me for 6-7 hours with ease, though without any drink or meal in between, but with meals and drinks it faded evenly within 3-4 hours without leaving any tint behind.

  • Doesn’t bleed or settle in lines.

Final Thoughts:-
This is my first urban decay lipstick, thus it holds a special place in my heart and vanity. Love the shade, the texture and pigmentation. But for the actual price, I don’t think they are doing anything different or better compared to lot of other lipstick brands that are cheaper and that I love.

So though I enjoy wearing it I won’t be spending so much on a lipstick that has close dupable shades and available in brands with lower cost lines.
Moreover, sometimes I become confuse, can’t understand whether this particular shade suits me or not. 🙁

Rates:- 3.5/5

Dupe Alert:- MAC Angel and MAC Please Me come close 🙂
