Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in Hallucination – Review and Swatches

Hey all beauty geeks!!! Today I am going to review Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in Hallucination. There was a time when I had super oily skin and I used to run away from creamy products. Matte finish and powder foundations were the best bet for me. However, my skin has changed to combination – oily T zone and dry cheeks. And I have started experimenting with creamy bases to get a flawless finish on dry areas as well. Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in Hallucination is one such foundation which gives a beautiful balance to my combination skin.

About Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation:

‘A feather-light, cream-to-powder foundation that smoothes skin to satiny perfection. Do you want porcelain-perfect coverage and a modern, natural finish? This ultra-lightweight, vegan- and paraben-free formula transforms from a decadent cream to a micro-fine powder upon contact with skin. You won’t believe the instant transformation! Lighter than liquid, this buildable formula gives you all the coverage you desire, without the pore-clogging effects of heavier foundations. The light-as-air texture glides on effortlessly and feels as natural as your own skin. (No heavy, greasy, or powdery makeup texture here!) Hyaluronic Filling Spheres and Pearl Powders hydrate and reduce the appearance of fine lines, while antioxidants, like Vitamins A and C, nourish and protect skin. ‘

Price : $34.

My take on Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in Hallucination:

Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation comes in several shades. I shortlisted the shade Hallucination seeing the online swatches and looking at the shade online. It was a gamble and surprisingly it paid out well. This shade turned out perfect for me. What I love about this shade is the neutral undertones. It is not too yellow, not too pink. I am NW37-ish; so this is an excellent pick for both warm and cool undertones.

Texture: Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in Hallucination has a very interesting texture. It is creamy, but feels powdery after a while. It does not have a matte finish, rather a slight dewy finish. No wonder it works so well on my combination skin. Looks very natural and does not look cakey at all. Blends easily with a wet beauty blender. But yes, you do need to set it with a powder still.

Pigmentation: This foundation has a medium to full coverage. It is buildable and layers pretty well. I still need a concealer for dark circles and dark spots on my cheeks. But, rest all is covered up by this foundation.

Staying Power: Stays for an average 4-5 hours because of its texture.

Packaging: Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in Hallucination has the classiest packaging ever. It comes in a typical Urban Decay color – purple compact, which looks very pretty due to its design. This foundation does not come with a sponge, but a brush. The brush works to an extent, but I prefer my beauty blender for this foundation.
