It has a calming influence and makes you feel better. It helps with headache, migraine, tension and PMS. Itâ€™s good for insomnia. It aids in treating indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea. Lavender oil improves blood circulation and helps in high blood pressure, joint pains and relaxes your muscles. It is great for soothing the scalp and calming the hair.
Lavender oil can be used neat or along with carrier oils as well. You can apply it externally for most purposes. For respiratory problems, vapours can be taken.
Diabetics and pregnant and breast feeding women should avoid using it.
Peppermint oil contains menthol which is good for skin and gives a cooling effect. Used most commonly in soaps, shampoos and toothpaste, this oil contains many minerals and nutrients which include iron, manganese, calcium, copper, vitamin A and Vitamin C.
Peppermint oil helps in stimulating mind and enhancing mental focus. due to its cooling and soothing effect, it is often used in balms.
Peppermint helps in increasing blood flow and improves dull skin. If massaged on problem skin then it acts as a pain-killer. It also has anti-bacterial properties.
On the downside, peppermint can sometime irritate the skin especially if one is allergic to it. Pregnant women should not use this and avoid using it on young children who may have a sensitive skin.

Tea tree oil can treat insect bites, athleteâ€™s foot, blisters, burns, abscess, oily skin, acne, rashes, spots, warts, diaper rash, sunburns, smelly feet and problems related to toenail infections.
It helps in treating zits. You can add a few drops of tea tree oil to your regular shampoo or Tea tree-infused shampoos usually contain about 2 to 5% concentration of the oil (any more than that and it will be too strong). It helps to rid the scalp of fungus and bacteria causing dandruff and itchy scalp.
Tea tree oil has disinfectant properties and can be a good remedy for genito-urinary tract infections like vaginitis, thrush, pruitis and cystitis.
It boosts immunity. Tea tree oil also has anti-bacterial properties so it can be used to keep the wounds clean.
The oil can be inhaled by adding few drops in a vaporizer or steam bath. What it does is it provides an instant remedy for constant cold and cough, bronchitis, asthma, cough, catarrh, tuberculosis and sinusitis. It also treats skin problems like eczema and dermatitis.
