Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium
Hey all beauty geeks!!! Sometimes I feel that I blatantly ignore certain beauty products, only to fall in love with them later. Nude lipsticks and lip glosses are the prime examples. I had always looked past lip glosses and nude lipsticks thinking that they were not for me. How wrong was I!!! I have fallen in love with them and somehow, prefer them over my usual lipstick colors. One another such product is a Tinted Moisturizer. I had never thought much about it and obviously, never used it.
However, roaming around the isles of Victoria’s Secret store, I picked up their Tinted Moisturizer to see if it really had some merit! 😉 Read more to know how this fared on me.

My take on Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium:
Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer comes in about 4-5 shades. I am generally medium in most foundations, so I picked up this in medium hoping that it will suit me. Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer is a brilliant multitasking product. Firstly, it is definitely a decent moisturizer, giving a very hydrating feel to the face. Secondly, the Tinted Moisturizer also acts as a primer for your foundation. It has an SPF of 15, which is definitely better than having no SPF. And the moisturizer is more than ‘tinted’. The coverage is great if compared to tinted moisturizers in the market. In fact, I feel that it is more like a medium coverage foundation. If you have a clear skin, you might not need a concealer also.
However, how can anyone be perfect??? 😉 Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium falls badly in the color department. The color Medium was quite dark for me. I tried to make it work by mixing it with a lighter color foundation. But, I ended up looking like a bad case of suntan. Yup, this tinted moisturizer oxidizes horribly. It makes me look like so orange in just a minute of applying. I just could not make it work in any way as it was adamant on changing my skin tone to orange. 🙁
Texture: Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium has a slightly thick texture like a foundation. It goes on smoothly and blends like a dream, even just with fingers. The finish is satin matte. Oily skinned beauties may have to set it with a powder. It is also very moisturizing to skin and you can definitely skip a moisturizer underneath it, unless you have extremely dry skin.
Pigmentation: The Tinted Moisturizer has an awesome coverage if I take into account it is only a tinted moisturizer. The coverage provided is medium and gives you an even skin tone in a whiff.
Staying Power: It stays for a fairly decent time. I have a combination skin and it lasted almost 6-7 hours on me.
Packaging: The tinted moisturizer comes in a medium sized squeeze tube which has a screw cap. The tube dispenses small amounts of the moisturizer, so it is easy to use and travel with.
What I like about Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium:
- Impressive coverage.
- Creamy and smooth texture.
- Easily blendable.
- Gives a beautiful satin finish to the skin.
- Feels creamy and hydrating on the face.
- Acts as a primer underneath the foundation.
- Has an SPF.
- Applies evenly and does not look cakey.
- Easy to use packaging.
What I do not like about Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium:
- Oxidizes heavily in a second.
- Face may get oily during the course of the day if you have extremely oily skin.
- Unavailability in India.
Final Impression: Victoria’s Secret Tinted Moisturizer in Medium is a perfect pick for medium coverage, SPF and moisture, except for its orangey color. How I wish it did not oxidize so badly. If you can find a match for your skin tone in this tinted moisturizer range and it does not oxidize on you, go for it girl. But for me it is a classic fail. I will never buy it again.
