Zoya Nail Polishes

I have been obsessed with nail polishes for quite some time now. However my family raised health concerns and asked not to paint my nails that often. I did my little research and found quite a few articles on the side effects of these nail polishes can have! Some nail polish ingredients such as formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate(DBP) and camphor are considered toxic and harmful. Well these days everything is considered harmful but since I always have paint on my nails I decided to be more careful. Upon researching I got to know about a brand that is not only toxic free but also has wide range of colors. You must have already heard about it before but I never heard of it as they don’t sell here in Sweden. The only way to buy was through online shopping.

The brand name is “Zoya”, it is toxic free and is quite safe.

I quickly ordered two of their nail polishes. They cost 8$ each. I know quite expensive but they will last very long (2 years) and they look very classy on the nails. My husband liked it a lot too J he said my nails look very elegant! Zoya’s quality is on par with any expensive brand and at the same time it is toxic free.

Ok enough of the brand. The colors that I bought are “Gretchen” and “Cola”.

I wanted a nude polish and a brownish color so these are the colors that I choose.

Common ingredients of the nail polish are –

Gretchen –

Zoya describes Gretchen as follows –

Zoya Nail Polish in Gretchen can be best described as: Light milky brown with neutral pink tint and warm clay undertones with a smooth creme finish. A soft earth tone that suits both deep and fair skin tones.

I couldn’t have thought of a better way to describe the color. They have described it perfectly. Zoya also numbers the intensity of the polishes, this one is 3 (5 being opaque and 1 being sheer). It suits my skin color and this is my stable nude color of all time.  This polish is part of their Spa essential collection.

Cola –

Zoya describes Cola as follows –

Zoya Nail Polish in Cola can be best described as: A warm light brown cream with strong terracotta undertones – a new twist on a classic color.

This one is a dark color, but not OTT. This one also leaves a crème finish and adds a beautiful shine. It is quite opaque, and zoya gives it a 5 on intensity level. It looks classy as well as stylish.

Overall I really love these polishes and think they are worth the price. On special occasions or parties you do want to look well groomed head to toe and a good nail polish can definitely add that extra bit of style, sophistication and glamour. I want to try more colors but since buying online is the only option I have I do not want to experiment too much. I wish they had a counter in the makeup stores here!

Have you tried Zoya nail polish ?
